Hello, all. First, to reassure everyone, we have not fallen off the face of the earth. This has been a very busy summer. At the beginning of the season, Dan and I were both serving in Cub Scouts at church. We were in charge of organizing all the paperwork for summer camp and getting the needed chaperones. I attended camp with our boys for 2 days, one of which was VERY hot, and the other where we were drowned by an enormous rainstorm that lasted the entire day. The camp got totally flooded out, and we couldn't even leave until the water levels fell so the cars could reach the lodge. It was so crazy!
At the beginning of August we found out we are expecting our 4th baby! Never a dull moment in this house! April is excited about it, Emily keeps talking about having a baby in her tummy when she's a mommy, and Stephen doesn't have a clue.
Right before we found out about our new addition, I was called to be the Young Women president at church. Like I said, never a dull moment! So I am in charge of all the girls at church ages 12-18. I have 2 counselors and a secretary assisting me, and two Sunday School teachers. I'm still trying to get one more teacher for the 17-18 yr old girls, and in the meantime I am teaching that class on Sunday. It's such a tremendous responsibility being in charge of all the activities, all the classes, and just the general spiritual welfare of these girls. They are such a wonderful set of girls, and I love working with them.
We are getting ready for a vacation to Florida in November. We have had several vacations to visit parents and siblings, but this is our first vacation ever to an actual vacation place! We will be staying at a resort in Daytona Beach with my Dad and step-mom, my sister Alison and her whole family, and my sister Lisa and her daughter Ksenya. We are all looking forward to this trip. The only difficulty of the trip will be the travelling. We can't afford the $1000+ it would cost for 5 plane tickets, so we're taking two days to drive each way from San Antonio to Daytona Beach. It makes the trip a little longer than we'd like, but it's worth it to have a whole week at the beach.
So, there's an update for us. I will get pictures up next time. Right now I'm working on getting my energy back and still fighing occasional queasiness. Never a dull moment!
