We are excited to announce the arrival of our newest family member!
Jeremy Dallin Vogler was born a week ago on Friday, April 4th, at 2:15pm. He weighed 7lbs, 14oz, 21 inches -- our biggest baby ever. Jeremy has lots of dark brown, fluffy hair, just like all of his siblings. He is a good eater, a great sleeper, and enjoys snuggling. He looks so much like April and Stephen when they were born, and I often slip up and call him Stephen.
I originally had a c-section scheduled for Monday, April 7th. However, at my dr. appointment on Friday, my dr. said I was very close to going into labor, and decided to send me to the hospital right then, instead of risking me going into labor over the weekend.
My hospital stay was a great experience this time. I was very nervous about having another c-section (I still had bad memories of Stephen's delivery) but all of the doctors and nurses took very good care of me, listened to all of my concerns, and made sure my comfort was top priority.
The kids absolutely love their new little brother. April always wants to hug and kiss him when she comes home from school, and Emily and Stephen are fascinated by everything he does. They ALL want to watch when I feed him, practically every time. Stephen even brought in his little fold-up chair one evening, so he could stand on it and get a better view. I need to start charging admission and set up spectator seating. :)
My recovery is going well, as long as I keep taking my pain killers. Dan is doing a phenomenal job taking care of things while I rest, and I try to help out with little things, like folding laundry, or reading to the kids -- things I can do while sitting down. Dan's mother is also here for a week, and she's always taking the kids out to the park, or over to Dan's sister's house so all the cousins can play together. She also takes Jeremy during the night -- ALL night -- and brings him to me when he's hungry. She really spoils me doing this, and I know I will miss my sleep when she leaves.
Thank you everyone for your prayers and well wishes!
