Coupon Queen

Today I am a self-proclaimed Coupon Queen. I just finished grocery shopping this morning, and I saved over $18 with coupons! It was completely amazing! I had printed several coupons from Inbox Dollars before I left this morning. Then when I got to the store, I found more in-store coupons hanging all over the place.
I needed some new eyeliner and mascara, and there on the shelf was a $2 coupon for all Revlon makeup. So I got one for each item and saved $4! Our store always has a "Meal Deal" going on-- you buy one or two items and get 3-5 items free, which usually makes a nice meal altogether. I bought fish sticks and a cole slaw kit, and I got free tartar sauce, mac & cheese, a large loaf of garlic bread, and a bottle of soda. That's $5 in free food, and we can use all if it for lots of lunches and dinners. I needed to get some sandwich baggies, and I had several $.50 coupons for a new store brand of plastic bags. I took two coupons with me, and found that the new brand of zipper sandwich baggies were the same price as regular fold-over baggies. So using the coupons, I saved $1 on better zipper baggies.
I have to say, this is definitely not the norm for me. Usually generic brand is cheaper to buy, compared to name brand WITH a coupon. And I also got some specialty things I normally wouldn't get if I didn't have a coupon. Regardless, I am really proud of myself. I rock!
(If you want to sign up at Inbox Dollars, be sure to tell them I referred you, and use my Hippy Hippo email address.)
