(BTW, I'm trying to load some pictures onto this post, but it isn't working so far. I may have to put them up later :)
Stephen is 9 months old now. He is at least 18 lbs, probably more, fits 12 month clothing, stands up while holding onto furniture, crawls ALL OVER the place, still chews on EVERYTHING, and is screwing up his courage to start walking around the furniture a little. He's pretty happy most of the time and enjoys exploring. He adores his big sisters and turns his head and smiles when he hears them coming at him. Sometimes I notice him crawling after the girls while they're playing, and sometimes they will play along, squealing "Ahh! He's coming! Quick, hide!", slam their bedroom door, giggle a whole bunch, then open the door to peek at Stephen, giggle and slam it again, all while he's crawling as fast as he can to their room. We let them play this game until someone starts to cry. Then they have to find a new game.
Dan and I made the big step we were considering during Christmas. Dan has started his own computer repair business. The business is called "Dan the Computer Man" and the tag line on his business card is "Dan is your man!" He's been running his own show for just over 3 weeks now, and so far we're doing great! We had a good first month, and hopefully it will continue. Dan has lots of customer contacts from his job with Computer Nerdz, and he's already gotten a few referrals from those contacts as well.
Woohoo! I finally got a picture uploaded! Here's a picture of April yesterday (3/29) with her snaggle tooth smile.
I have to share my progress in keeping my new year's resolutions, namely #1 and #2. The first was to exercise 3 times a week. Well, I was really good for about 4 weeks. Yes, I actually went walking and jogging for 4 weeks straight! Yay Jean! But I've done even better progress with #2, which was fit into my skinny pants by Stephen's birthday in June. BTW, I'm not writing this to boast and brag and say Ha Ha! to everyone reading this. I feel very victorious about this accomplishment, and want to share the joy. At Christmas I was fitting into size 14-16 pants. After 4 solid weeks of exercising, and completely restructuring what and HOW I eat, I am now a size 8!!! WOOHOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!! For all you men reading this, the equivalent would be going from 34/30 pants to 30/30 pants (which are my actual sizes I've been wearing.) I've been wearing men's jeans for several years now, but just very recently discovered "stretch" denim. So now I'm buying all new women's stretch jeans. Boy, they feel good :) Dan bought me a really cute pair of pajamas for Christmas, something I had picked out of a catalog. He bought the medium size, and it turns out they were too tight. We were both a little disappointed. Dan asked if I wanted to exchange them, and I said No, I wanted to lose the weight so I could fit them. I should be wearing a medium anyway. That's what I always wore before the last 2 kids. Last night I put on the pj's, and the pants were loose! Woohoohoooo!!! I don't know how many pounds I've actually lost, since I don't own a scale (and don't really care :) The important thing is I'm in the same clothing size as the day I got married!!!!!
OK, I'll shut up now :P
Jean
