It's late tonight. Dan and I stayed up watching some very interesting PBS shows about Isaac Newton, fun puns and bloopers in the English language, and part of a Josh Groban concert. I had never heard him sing before, although I had heard his name. He is an absolutely beautiful singer. He sang one song in Italian, and even though I don't know any Italian, it brought tears to my eyes.
I've been making some cute little Christmas ornaments during the shows tonight, mostly little snowflakes made out of metallic chenille stems and plastic beads. I was sitting on the floor in front of the TV, and the beads kept rolling all over the place.
Then Dan and I kept taking turns helping the girls into bed. I am sorry to say that April's strep throat came back again tonight. She just finished her antibiotics Sunday afternoon, and tonight she started crying in the bathtub of a bad headache (which always means a fever coming on.) So Dan washed her very quickly, then I helped her get dressed, and gave her some children's Motrin. Tomorrow we will be back in the dr's office.
Dan really wants April to have a tonsillectomy. April was very succeptible to strep throat last year, and a tonsillectomy would avoid strep altogether. And it would keep April from inheriting Dan's bad tonsil problems that run in his family.
So, after chasing plastic beads all over the carpet, pulling nightgowns over wet, crying kids, watching a few interesting TV shows (rare!) in a tag team format, pouring medicine down my 5 year old's throat, and keeping a wet washcloth over a fevered brow, I can still say... I love my life!
