Pre-K curriculum

Emily came home from pre-k this morning with a calendar in her folder. It has a list of everything they are learning about this month in class. This week they are learning about their body and the 5 senses. Here is how my conversation with Emily went:

"So Emily, you're learning about your body?"
"Yeah."
"What did you learn about?"
"There's a tube inside my ear (pointing to her head), and it goes all the way to my brain!"
"Wow! And what goes in the tube?"
"A little, teeny, teeny, tiny thing (She pinches her fingers to demonstrate.) Really little. Maybe it's a mouse!"

Okay!

  1. That's hillarious. I had to ask Laurence about the tube in his ear because of this. I asked and he said "Yeah, we learned about that today. About hearing!" So I asked about what goes into the tube. Well, I didn't get a creative answer. Just "sound, I think." Ah well.
