It's a quarter to midnight, and once again I am looking forward to another late night alone with Jeremy's antics. He's going through the usual colic my kids get between 2 weeks and 2 months of age. If he's still up and screaming at 2 am, I usually wake up Dan and have him start the graveyard shift.
So far Jeremy has been up for about an hour and a half, screaming for most of an hour before I finally decided to load some formula into him, even though I had recently fed him. Now he's much more calm, as long as he keeps his bink in. But I'm expecting more screaming soon and more feedings before he finally falls asleep between 1 and 2 am.
So it's just me, alone with the baby and the laundry piling up. Fortunate for me I have lots of time tonight to clean it all :P Getting time away from Jeremy to fold it all is another matter. I am resorting to my good pal Frasier to keep me company, since there is absolutely NOTHING good on TV after 10:30pm. Thanks to my dear hubby, I now have seasons 3-8 and 11 to entertain me tonight. I'm considering starting a 3 day Fraiser marathon tonight. I think Jeremy would go for it.

ReplyDeletetoday i'm taking katie i for her kindergarten shots. she thinks i should get a shot too--so i'll see if they can give me my tetanus booster--since i haven't had one since my last trip to girls camp in VA! Ha!
Congratulations on your new baby! Ana came in January. Babies are fun. And trying. I know that you have more kids than I do, and hence more experience. So feel free to disregard this. I've found that my kids respond very well to peppermint water when they're colicky. Just a few drops of peppermint extract in a bottle of water (it'll taste less strong than it smells)or diluted peppermint tea works wonders. It soothes the stomach and somehow helps the bubbles to come up. If you try this, I hope it works as well for you. Hopefully you'll get more sleep soon.
