Halloween pics

Halloween was a little contentious this year-- primarily because our little ones didn't like their costumes. Emily has a sheep hat that she LOVES to wear around the house.

However, when it was time to put on the hat for trick-or-treating, Emily absolutely refused. April suggested she be a mommy, so she carried her baby doll around.
Meanwhile, I had made myself a big apron so I could be Little Bo Peep.

But I had to find another sheep.

We borrowed a bumblebee outfit for Stephen. He HATED it! He made sure we all felt his sting.
And April wore her big princess dress again. I'm sure she'll still be using it for several years to come :)

In the end, we got at least 10 lbs. of candy from trick-or-treating around our neighborhood, so it was a successful night after all.

LOL!! I feel your pain, I truly do!! Katie was a generic princess, b/c that's all I could manage. Ryan was both a train engineer and a lion--an engineer for the trunk or treat on saturday and a lion on halloween itself b/c the costume was warmer. he was cute toddling around the school and terrorizing the grocery store.
colin was a skeleton, kind of, and nathan was darth again. this time we borrowed a friends' helmet that makes the sounds and all. still need to return that. my friends' daughter was a bee also and they dressed up as beekeepers. it was so funny!!

Ok, have to start picking up kids from school, then its scouts. we're passing off our outdoor flag ceremony so the boys will be eligible for their wolf badge as soon as they finish the other stuff. Thankfully its in the 70's outside today so its a great day for them to be outdoors.
