April has been home sick for the past few days. Wednesday morning the school clinic called me and said April had a low fever, and they wanted me to come get her. April has been acting like she's fine, but if you ask her, she says her head hurts, her throat, today her tummy started to hurt, and she's not eating anything.
So we went to the doctor this morning. April has strep throat. Drat! I hate that stuff. It's really hard to kick. She had it twice, almost 3 times, within 2 months last February. Dan wants her tonsils out, especially so she won't inherit his tonsilliths when she's older. But April's doctor is very slow to jump at a tonsilectomy. She said if April has strep several times again this fall/winter season, then she'll refer me to an ENT.
Meanwhile, we're all home together for a 3rd day today. Everyone is a little stuffy and sniffly, but that's just the weather and general yucky stuff going around. Fortunately, Dan is feeling great, and my stuffy sinuses went away a week or so ago.
