April had a sleepover last night with her friend Samantha, who lives 3 houses down from us. They watched Swan Princess before going to bed, and kept saying "Ewww!" at every kissing scene. This morning I gave the girls our small camera, and they had fun taking silly pictures of themselves.
In the afternoon, another neighbor girl, Emmi, was home, so the three of them played in the front yard, throwing leaves all over each other, and playing hide and seek inside.

Emily likes playing with April and her friends. Whenever someone comes to play with April, Emily sees herself naturally included in the group. Usually April is very compliant with this, and Emily is oblivious to any teasing or laughing directed at her. Sometimes April will play at her friends' houses instead, and Emily will stand at the door watching the girls run down the street, wondering why she can't go too.
But Emily has her own little friends, too. She has a weekly playdate with her cousin Bryan, and I take her to storytime at the library every week, where she sees lots of her little friends from church.
